La&nbsp; primera se basa en realizaciones concretas, e ideas&nbsp; presentadas visualmente y evaluadas e interpretadas por&nbsp; estudiosos y diletantes, mientras que el segundo es&nbsp; producto de ilusiones, sue\u00f1os y auspicios que son la&nbsp; especialidad de nigromantes y vates. Adem\u00e1s, la&nbsp; creatividad es por definici\u00f3n impredecible. Pero hay valores&nbsp; en la producci\u00f3n de algunos artistas j\u00f3venes que permiten&nbsp; cierta seguridad en su permanencia. Trabajos como los de&nbsp; Luis Luna, Consuelo G\u00f3mez, Mar\u00eda Fernanda Cardoso y&nbsp; Nad\u00edn Ospina, los cuales, habiendo dado buena prueba de&nbsp; sensibilidad y talento, incitan al cr\u00edtico a pensar en un&nbsp; desarrollo de conquistas y sorpresas, y por ende, a&nbsp; penetrar un poco en el resbaladizo terreno de los augurios.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"textojustificado wp-block-paragraph\"><em>La obra de Nad\u00edn Ospina, por ejemplo, ha constituido una&nbsp; ruptura, un cambio, una apertura a nuevas \u00e1reas tanto para&nbsp; la pintura, como para la escultura colombiana. Como&nbsp; pintura no solo ha abandonado el bastidor y los formatos&nbsp; tradicionales, sino que ha acogido un soporte&nbsp; tridimensional, que representa figuras reconocibles. Lejos&nbsp; de limitarse a los objetos manufacturados, Ospina&nbsp; construye sus figuras otorg\u00e1ndoles el tama\u00f1o, textura y&nbsp; caracter\u00edsticas precisas para que act\u00faen como fundamento&nbsp;del color y como apreciaciones personales. Collection Museo de Bellas Artes de Caracas.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"textojustificado wp-block-paragraph\"><em>En cuanto a la escultura, Ospina ha retomado la figuraci\u00f3n&nbsp; abandonada en el pa\u00eds desde mediados del siglo (si no se&nbsp; cuenta la estatutaria y uno que otro experimento&nbsp; interrumpido) para internarse en lo que se podr\u00eda&nbsp; denominar &#8220;un expresionismo sui generis&#8221;. &#8211; No s\u00f3lo sus&nbsp; colores se alejan rotundamente de la realidad y sus figuras&nbsp; aparecen fragmentadas con el \u00e1nimo de acentuar&nbsp; determinadas reflexiones, sino que sus obras tienen cierto&nbsp; aire de pi\u00f1ata, pesebre o carnaval, conduciendo al&nbsp; espectador a un estado an\u00edmico -entre la conciencia y la&nbsp; inocencia, lo trascendental y lo festivo- en el cual operan&nbsp; m\u00e1s efectivamente sus ideas.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"textojustificado wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Pero, es m\u00e1s. El artista ha abandonado a menudo el&nbsp; concepto de la obra de arte como objeto \u00fanico \u00edntegro, y se&nbsp; ha internado en el campo de las &#8220;instalaciones\u201d&nbsp; depositando en la conjunci\u00f3n de varios elementos, el&nbsp; sentido&nbsp;de sus piezas. Trabajos como la serie de tapires negros&nbsp; (de reciente adquisici\u00f3n por el Museo de Perth, Australia),&nbsp; en la cual el humor se alinea con la ecolog\u00eda para producir&nbsp; una instalaci\u00f3n entre acusadora y tierna, o como la manada&nbsp; de ciervos (propuesta para un parque en Ciudad Salitre, en&nbsp; Bogot\u00e1) en la cual la historia se una con la diversi\u00f3n para&nbsp; producir un monumento que tambi\u00e9n es un comentario&nbsp; sobre la vida urbana, son dos ejemplos recientes de su&nbsp; inclinaci\u00f3n por este tipo de obras.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"textojustificado wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">We could also argue about the technical interest of Ospina's work, who has gone from the \"papier mache\" model to polyester casting, or we could theorize about the paradoxical duality between his artisanal production process and his industrial materials, to justify his selection as one of the most outstanding artists of a decade that is just beginning.  It could also be mentioned that apart from confronting the human figure without academic views, Ospina has represented everyday objects like many modern sculptors, and that he has added his tapirs, macaws and deer to the great zoo that makes up 20th century sculpture (from Brancusi, Pevsner and Picasso, to Julio Gonzalez, the surrealists and Calder), to demonstrate his contemporaneity or his knowledge of art history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"textojustificado wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">But the most important thing about his work is that it reveals a firm will to break with all conventionalism and an independent and free open attitude, as well as a tendency to try and act intuitively and a great interest in the mystery and freshness of nature.
